My Partner and I were given a notable library precedent study. It was a two week long project consisted of three main parts: research, analysis, and speculation. The Musashino Art University Library by Sou Fujimoto provides a new and different understanding of library space. The spiraling organization of the sections in the library and the radical transformations of ordinary book shelves were the main focuses. Two drawings and a model are produced to show our take on the unique operational logic as well as the transformation of stacks of the Musashino Library.
